Between the Sheets Cocktail

Tonight's cocktail is a classic, and we make it with equal quantities of Bacardi white rum, cognac, Cointreau and fresh lemon juice, shaken over ice and strained into a martini glass with a lemon twist.  Totally.  Delicious.   Served with crisp little Cheddar and Rosemary biscuits.  I think Sundays are my favourite day of the week!  Hic!
NB: many thanks to Helen for spotting the deliberate error in my original posting, where I listed gin instead of Bacardi white rum.  What can I say?  I was drunk at the time.

  2. although I see that the Gin is your own variation? Are you not a rum fan or do you just think that gin makes for a better drink?

  3. Hi Helen! Oops! I must have had gin on the mind for some reason. It is, of course, Bacardi white rum, cognac, Cointreau and Lemon Juice. I shall change the recipe. Do try it, though, absolutely spiffing. The biccies were the same recipe as my recent posting for Parmesan Biscuits, but I replaced that cheese with cheddar, added some fresh finely chopped rosemary and a good spoon of grain mustard. Wonderful variation

  4. We are having these tonight (honestly, it's *all* about wednesday) with some biccies to accompany- I had feta needing used up so went for feta and thyme (still with a spot of cayenne)....we shall see how they turn out with a wetter cheese!
